LeBron James missed the Los Angeles Lakers' 107-98 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers due to left foot soreness.
Head coach JJ Redick said pregame that Monday could be a good opportunity for the 39-year-old to get some rest in between practices after James was downgraded from probable to doubtful earlier in the day, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin.
L.A. has four days off before it faces the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday.
This was the first time the Lakers were without James this season. He's averaging 23 points, eight rebounds, and 9.1 assists in Year 22 in the Association.
The Lakers snapped a three-game losing streak to improve to 13-11 on the season.
