KD jokes Netflix's 'Starting 5' will show 'how just boring this life is'
It doesn't sound like Kevin Durant will be bringing the drama to the second season of Netflix's "Starting 5" documentary series.
The Phoenix Suns star, who was announced Tuesday as one of the five NBA players who will be featured on the upcoming season, told Kay Adams of the "Up & Adams Show" that viewers may find his daily routine boring.
"Just showing really how just boring this life is, to be honest with you," Durant said when asked what he's looking forward to about the series. "We don't do much but sit around, waiting for the next game.
"But, no, I'm just excited for them to see the mindset of NBA players, like the in-depth look of athletes and what they do throughout the season, behind-the-scenes and stuff."
Durant added that the series is "for the core basketball fans who really follow us every day, who really want to get a true insight on who we are."
The first season of "Starting 5" was released Oct. 9 and followed the Los Angeles Lakers' LeBron James, Boston Celtics' Jayson Tatum, Minnesota Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards, Miami Heat's Jimmy Butler, and Sacramento Kings' Domantas Sabonis during the 2023-24 NBA season.
Durant will be joined in the second season by the Celtics' Jaylen Brown, Los Angeles Clippers' James Harden, Oklahoma City Thunder's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and Indiana Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton.
