Charlotte Hornets star LaMelo Ball needed help off the court after landing awkwardly in Sunday's game against the Orlando Magic.

The Hornets swiftly ruled out Ball for the contest due to a right ankle strain.

Ball missed the final 18 games of last season after fracturing the same ankle. He played just 36 contests throughout the campaign due to several injuries.

The former No. 3 pick has maintained his All-Star form this season, averaging 25.9 points, 8.6 assists, and 5.8 rebounds per contest for the 5-9 Hornets.

Ball had seven points and two assists in 14 minutes played against Charlotte's division rival before exiting.
