Suns' Allen: 'Getting booed makes the game feel more normal for me'
Phoenix Suns guard Grayson Allen was a frequent target of boos during his college career at Duke, and he's continued to face the wrath of opposing fans since entering the NBA in 2018.
Following the Suns' 116-115 win over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday, Allen admitted that he's become so accustomed to getting booed that he finds it strange when he doesn't.
"Getting booed makes the game feel more normal for me, almost," Allen told Duane Radkin of the Arizona Republic. "I got that so much it became my normal, my regular. It's more weird when it's silent."
Allen had a career-high eight 3-pointers in the victory along with a season-high 26 points, eight rebounds, and two blocks.
The 28-year-old was traded to the Suns in September as part of the three-team deal that sent Damian Lillard to the Milwaukee Bucks.
