Raptors sign Schroder to 2-year, $26M deal
The Toronto Raptors signed point guard Dennis Schroder to a two-year, $26-million contract, his agents told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
The franchise lost Fred VanVleet to the Houston Rockets earlier on Friday, with the 29-year-old signing a three-year, $130-million deal.
Schroder averaged 12.6 points, 4.5 assists, and 2.5 rebounds in 66 games last season in his second stint with the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Raptors gave Schroder the non-tax mid-level exception, according to ESPN's Bobby Marks.
The 29-year-old was drafted No. 17 overall by the Atlanta Hawks in 2013. He played for the Hawks for five seasons before making stops with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Lakers, and Boston Celtics.
The Lakers reportedly signed former Miami Heat guard Gabe Vincent on Friday to a three-year, $33-million pact.
