Stephen Curry has landed a lead role in an upcoming mockumentary comedy series about the world of sports memorabilia.

The Golden State Warriors point guard will star alongside Adam Pally in an NBC series titled "Mr. Throwback," according to Deadline's Peter White. The series is helmed by "Happy Endings" creator David Caspe and writing duo Matthew Libman and Daniel Libman.

"Mr. Throwback" follows a sports memorabilia dealer who reunites with his sixth-grade teammate, Curry.

"Making the natural transition from behind the camera to center stage opposite Adam Pally, we can't wait for the world to see what we have in store," Curry said in a statement.

Curry will also executive produce the series through his company Unanimous Media, which signed a global talent partnership deal with NBCUniversal in 2021. He previously served as an executive producer on the Academy Award-winning documentary "The Queen of Basketball."
