Report: Hawks sign Bogdanovic to 4-year, $68M extension
Atlanta Hawks wing Bogdan Bogdanovic agreed to a four-year, $68-million contract extension, sources tell ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Bogdanovic is averaging 14.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.9 assists on the season. The veteran is shooting 40% from three, making 2.7 shots per game from beyond the arc.
The 30-year-old declined his $18-million player option for next season to complete the extension, Wojnarowski adds.
Bogdanovic was selected with the 27th pick in the 2014 draft, but he did not make his debut until 2017 with the Sacramento Kings. He played three seasons with that franchise before Atlanta signed him to a four-year, $72-million deal.
The Serbian forward holds career averages of 14.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.3 assists.
The Hawks have a 34-35 record, ranking eighth in the Eastern Conference. Atlanta takes on the Golden State Warriors on Friday with tipoff slated for 7:30 p.m. ET.
