New Chicago Bulls guard Patrick Beverley hopes to put an end to the Los Angeles Lakers' playoff aspirations this season.

On Tuesday's episode of "The Pat Bev Podcast with Rone," Beverley revealed his goal is to eliminate the Lakers from the postseason when the Bulls face his former team in March.

"(I want to) knock 'em out the playoffs. ... Yeah, like, we gotta get in the playoffs, so excuse us," Beverley said. "Like, a little scooch."

Beverley appeared in 45 games with the Lakers this season before being dealt to the Orlando Magic at the trade deadline. He reached a buyout agreement with the Magic and signed with his hometown Bulls as a free agent this week.

The Bulls face the Lakers twice before the regular season ends. The first matchup is March 26 in Los Angeles and the second is March 29 in Chicago.

The Bulls sit 11th in the Eastern Conference at 26-33, while the Lakers are 13th in the Western Conference at 27-32.
