The Los Angeles Clippers are acquiring center Mason Plumlee from the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for guard Reggie Jackson, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Hornets are also receiving a 2028 second-round pick in the deal, the L.A. Times' Andrew Greif reports.

Jackson and the Hornets are likely to agree to a contract buyout, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Plumlee is averaging career highs of 12.2 points and 9.7 rebounds per game this season as the Hornets' starting center. He projects to slot in as the backup for Ivica Zubac in Los Angeles.

Jackson saw his role diminish with the Clippers after falling out of the starting lineup in January. He's averaging 10.9 points and 3.5 assists.

Earlier Thursday, the Clippers reportedly acquired former Denver Nuggets guard Bones Hyland who could potentially replace Jackson as L.A.'s backup point guard.
