Phoenix Suns head coach Monty Williams believes there are issues that need to be addressed when it comes to courtside seating in the NBA.

Following an exchange with a fan seated courtside during the Suns' 127-102 loss to the Washington Wizards on Wednesday, Williams called on the NBA to "set some higher standards" for those in the front row.

"It's never the whole front row," Williams said, according to Duane Rankin of the Arizona Republic. "It's always one or two people that have to ruin it for everybody. So, unfortunately, it was just one of those things, but it was out of control."

The incident between Williams and the fan occurred during the fourth quarter of Wednesday's game and led to two people being escorted out of Capital One Arena. Williams praised the referees' handling of the situation but believes there's more that should be done from a league-wide perspective.

"You expect some of it, it's just part of it, but tonight was way over the line as far as the disrespect," he said. "The seats are way too close to the floor. So, you're tripping over people, but I think this is something that the league has to address because players and coaches feel like sometimes, you're unprotected.

"You show a level of restraint, and your only resort is to tell the officials, 'Hey, this guy is out of control.' It was unfortunate."
