Melee erupts after Magic's Wagner shoves Pistons' Hayes into bench

Three players were ejected during Wednesday's game between the Orlando Magic and Detroit Pistons following a chaotic brawl at the Pistons' bench in the second quarter.

While chasing down a loose ball, Orlando Magic center Moritz Wagner shoved an on-rushing Killian Hayes into Detroit's bench, sparking a massive altercation between the teams. In retaliation, Hayes struck Wagner in the back of the head, and the Magic big man isn't seen again until he's pulled back toward Orlando's end of the court by teammates.

Wagner and Hayes were both ejected after a lengthy video review. Pistons forward Hamidou Diallo was also tossed, presumably for elbowing Wagner immediately after Hayes was shoved.

Wednesday's encounter is the second of four meetings this season between the teams. Their next matchup is Feb. 23 in Orlando.
