Report: Bucks' Middleton to miss 1st few weeks of season
Milwaukee Bucks forward Khris Middleton is expected to miss the first few weeks of the regular season while continuing to rehab from offseason wrist surgery, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.
Middleton said at media day that he did not expect to play in Thursday's season opener against the Philadelphia 76ers.
The three-time All-Star went under the knife in July to repair a torn ligament in his left wrist. He missed the last 10 games of the Bucks' postseason run after initially spraining his MCL in Game 2 of the first-round playoff series against the Chicago Bulls.
Milwaukee will rely on young wings MarJon Beauchamp and Jordan Nwora to play more minutes during the absences of Middleton and swingman Pat Connaughton who's recovering from a calf strain.
Middleton averaged 20.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.4 assists over 66 games last season.
