The New York Knicks have offered Evan Fournier, Obi Toppin, additional players, and five first-round picks, with two being unprotected, for Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell, league sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania and Tony Jones.

Utah's asking price for the three-time All-Star reportedly surpasses what the Knicks have offered. New York has eight first-round picks at its disposal to include in a trade for Mitchell, who has three years left on his contract. The franchise also has other young, talented players to offer, including Quentin Grimes and Immanuel Quickley.

Trade conversations between the Knicks and Jazz recently renewed after a monthlong hiatus, before which the two teams seriously discussed a Mitchell trade at Las Vegas Summer League.

Utah received four first-round picks in the trade that sent former Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert to the Minnesota Timberwolves earlier this offseason. The Jazz also acquired players on rookie contracts in that deal, including Leandro Bolmaro, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Walker Kessler, the No. 22 pick in the 2022 draft.

The Charlotte Hornets and Washington Wizards have remained interested in Mitchell, Charania adds.

Mitchell averaged 25.9 points, 5.3 assists, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.5 steals in 67 games with the Jazz last season. Utah was bounced from the first round of the playoffs by the Dallas Mavericks, making it 15 seasons since the Jazz have made the conference finals.
