Report: T.J. Warren joins Nets on 1-year deal
Free-agent forward T.J. Warren has agreed to a one-year contract with the Brooklyn Nets, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
The 28-year-old missed the entirety of the past season with the Indiana Pacers with a left foot injury and only played four games the season prior.
Warren averaged a career-high 19.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.2 steals in 67 games in the 2019-20 season with the Pacers. In the 2020 NBA bubble, he averaged 26.6 points and 6.3 rebounds.
The Nets retained Patty Mills and Nic Claxton in free agency while losing veterans Goran Dragic, Andre Drummond, DeAndre Jordan, and Bruce Brown. Brooklyn only has 11 players under contract, according to Wojnarowski.
Brooklyn also acquired forward Royce O'Neale from the Utah Jazz for a 2023 first-round pick. The team continues to explore potential trades for franchise superstars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.
