Thunder draft Peyton Watson with 30th overall pick, trade to Nuggets
The Oklahoma City Thunder drafted UCLA guard Peyton Watson with the No. 30 overall selection in the 2022 NBA Draft.
Watson, who measures 6-foot-8 and 200 pounds, was then traded to the Denver Nuggets as part of a previously-reported trade that sent forward JaMychal Green to Oklahoma City.
We have agreed upon a trade with the OKC Thunder to acquire the 30th pick (Peyton Watson) and two future second-round picks in exchange for JaMychal Green and a future protected first-round pick.

Watson averaged 3.3 points and 2.9 rebounds in 12.7 minutes per game across 32 appearances with the Bruins as a freshman. The 19-year-old struggled to score efficiently in his lone collegiate season but managed to show flashes of defensive potential, thanks partially to his seven-foot wingspan.
