Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green is two flagrant points away from an automatic one-game suspension after committing a flagrant-2 foul on Memphis Grizzlies big man Brandon Clarke in Game 1 of their second-round series.

However, the four-time All-Star says that it won't affect his approach going forward.

"I am never going to change the way I play basketball," Green told reporters Monday, according to ESPN's Kendra Andrews. "It's gotten me this far. Gotten me three championships, four All-Stars, Defensive Player of the Year. I'm not going to change now."

Green's defensive physicality has burned him in the past. The two-time All-NBA selection was suspended for Game 5 of the 2016 NBA Finals after recording his fourth flagrant point of the postseason. Golden State dropped the contest Green missed, and that defeat sparked the Cleveland Cavaliers' historic 3-1 championship comeback.

While Stephen Curry doesn't expect Green to alter his style of play, he hopes his teammate exercises more caution.

"Unfortunately, yeah, he has to be mindful of that," Curry said. "Only he can tell you what that means for him and how he approaches each game. I want him to be himself and make the plays he's capable of making and impact the game, be demonstrative, be the Draymond we expect. But he can't be in a situation where the interpretation of rules goes against him."
