Los Angeles Lakers stars Anthony Davis and LeBron James missed Friday's game against the Charlotte Hornets.

James was sidelined for his second straight contest with knee soreness, while Davis sat due to wrist soreness.

Davis dominated in the Lakers' loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday, recording 31 points, 12 rebounds, and four blocks. It was the big man's second game back after missing 17 contests with an MCL sprain. Davis suffered the wrist injury while going up for a dunk against 76ers star Joel Embiid in the first half.

James is in the midst of another brilliant season for Los Angeles. The 37-year-old is second in the scoring race at 29.1 points while averaging 7.7 rebounds, 6.3 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game. He missed eight consecutive contests earlier this season due to an abdominal strain, and he's considered day-to-day with his latest injury.

The Lakers entered their matchup against the Hornets sitting ninth in the Western Conference with a 24-25 record.
