The Los Angeles Lakers were without star point forward LeBron James for Wednesday's road game against the lowly Oklahoma City Thunder, which marked his second straight missed game due to right ankle soreness.

James, who turns 37 in December, sat out Tuesday's overtime win against the San Antonio Spurs.

Frontcourt partner Anthony Davis, meanwhile, was available for Wednesday's contest after initially being listed as questionable to play with right knee soreness.

James has averaged 26 points, 6.3 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.7 steals in his first three appearances this season. Davis has contributed 28 points, 12.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and three blocks per game. The pair lead the team in playing time so far.
