The Portland Trail Blazers have acquired the No. 43 pick from the New Orleans Pelicans in order to select Texas forward Greg Brown, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Brown was among the top-rated recruits in last year's class but had an up-and-down season with the Longhorns. The McDonald's All-American started promisingly with eight double-digit scoring performances in his first 11 games but saw his playing time decrease as the 2020-21 campaign winded down.

He averaged 9.3 points, 6.2 boards, and one block over 26 appearances en route to Big 12 All-Freshman Team honors. He showed promising flashes on both ends of the floor and believes his physical tools will suit him well defensively in today's positionless NBA.

"With my size, athleticism, quickness, and speed, I feel like I can switch on screens and just guard anybody. I just gotta put my mind to it," Brown told reporters, including theScore, during his NBA combine media availability in June.
