NBA Tuesday player props: Bet Durant, fade Tucker from 3

Bojan Bogdanovic canned multiple threes, John Collins was held under his assist total, and Nic Batum was limited from the perimeter en route to a 3-1 Monday.

Now 16-7 over our last 23 plays, here's what's on tap for Tuesday's Game 5 between the Bucks and Nets.

Kevin Durant over 2.5 made threes

Durant's currently the Nets' leader in usage rate throughout the postseason (32.7%). That number could balloon tonight with Kyrie Irving sidelined and James Harden considered doubtful.

The 11-time All-Star has at least 28 points in all four games against Milwaukee, with three double-doubles. Tonight, he'll feast from deep.

Durant, whose 45% clip from downtown this season marked a career high, has three or more triples in five of his last seven games entering Tuesday. He's been particularly hot against the Bucks, sailing over the total in four of the previous six meetings.

Milwaukee will try its best to take away Durant with both his fellow stars potentially out of the lineup, but will it matter? The Bucks' defense allowed the second-most made threes per game (2.5) to opposing power forwards in 2020-21.

P.J. Tucker under 0.5 made threes

No cushion here on Tucker's total, but it won't matter. Although the Bucks were No. 4 in 3-point percentage and No. 5 in makes during the regular season, they've averaged fewer than eight per game in the second round.

Tucker was responsible for three in Game 4, his most in an outing since January. However, the veteran forward heads into Tuesday with zero triples in seven of his last 11 games and multiple makes just once across that span.

Mike James under 3.5 rebounds

This is a tough matchup on the glass for James, who will get some extended minutes with both Harden and Irving potentially sidelined.

Not only has the backup floor general been held to three or fewer boards in six of his last seven contests, but Milwaukee also gave up the second-fewest rebounds to point guards this season.

Bryn Forbes over 7.5 points

This is a great spot to buy low on Forbes, who's cooled off considerably following a hot start to the postseason.

After blitzing the Heat for a pair of 20-point performances in Round 1, Forbes hasn't scored more than 10 points in four tries against the Nets. He's just 5-of-19 from deep and has been held to two or fewer made field goals in three of four.

However, Forbes, a 47.2% shooter from beyond the arc during the regular season, has still surpassed this total in four of his last six dates with the Nets. He should see an uptick in production tonight.
