Former Detroit Pistons defensive specialist Ben Wallace will be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as part of the 2021 class, a source told The Undefeated's Marc J. Spears.

Wallace and the other 2021 inductees will be revealed Sunday in Springfield, Massachusetts.

A four-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year, Wallace won an NBA title with the Pistons in 2004. He also made four All-Star teams and earned five All-Defensive first-team honors. Detroit retired his No. 3 jersey in 2016.

The undersized 6-foot-9 center went undrafted after playing collegiately at Cuyahoga Community College and Virginia Union.

Wallace enjoyed spells with the Washington Bullets/Wizards and Orlando Magic before joining the Pistons in a sign-and-trade for Grant Hill.

The 46-year-old spent six years in Detroit, making the NBA Finals twice. He then played with the Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Pistons again before retiring in 2012.

Wallace posted career averages of 5.7 points, 9.6 rebounds, and two blocks per game across 16 NBA seasons. He'll become the first player from the 2004 NBA champs to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
