Draymond rejects 'We Believe 2.0' label: 'We got f------ Steph Curry'

Draymond Green doesn't believe the current Golden State Warriors compare to the 2006-07 squad and that team's improbable playoff run.

Green shut down the idea of a "We Believe 2.0" team following Golden State's 122-116 win over the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night, pointing out some key differences between the 2020-21 Warriors and their predecessors.

"The 'We Believe' days are over," Green told reporters. "I've won three championships, I'm not part of no 'We Believe' team. And like I said, that's no disrespect to the OGs that came before me, I love those guys and what they started here is incredible."

"But, nah, we're not no 'We Believe' 2.0. We got f------ Steph Curry on our team," he added.

The 2006-07 Warriors finished the regular season 42-40 to earn the Western Conference's eighth and final playoff spot. They went on to defeat the top-seeded Dallas Mavericks in the first round of the playoffs, but Golden State lost during the next round to the Utah Jazz.

This year's Warriors currently sit eighth in the Western Conference and have clinched a spot in the play-in tournament, which gets underway May 18.
