NBA Tuesday player props: Fade James Harden, Marcus Morris
Giannis Antetokounmpo cashed his assist total, Facundo Campazzo was limited on the glass, and we finished Monday's player props in the green at 2-1.
Three big games tip off tonight, so let's keep the momentum rolling. Here are the best value plays on the board.
James Harden under 9.5 assists
Harden can go off at any moment - he was 1.5 rebounds shy of averaging a triple-double during the regular season. However, his assist total is awfully high considering the Celtics have allowed the fewest per game to point guards in the entire league over the last 15 (7.4).
The first-year Nets guard has been held to nine or fewer dimes in five straight meetings against Boston. The last time he went over the total against the C's was all the way back in March 2018.
Marcus Morris under 12.5 points
Morris has been a solid perimeter weapon for the Clippers. More than half his point production this season has come from beyond the arc, while his 47.3% 3-point shooting clip marks a career high.
The only problem is the Mavericks boast arguably the toughest matchup for the 10-year vet. Dallas has let up the fewest made threes (1.3) and the fifth-fewest points per game (17.9) to power forwards over the last 15.
Morris felt the effects on Saturday - he went 2-of-8 from the field with just four points - and is a combined 1-of-15 from the perimeter against the Mavs in two meetings this season.
DeAndre Ayton under 11.5 rebounds
Ayton exploded for 16 boards in Game 1, but he should be quieter on the glass Tuesday.
The Lakers allowed the fifth-fewest rebounds in the league during the regular season. If they can shoot better than 33-of-76 (43.4%) from the floor, like they did in Game 1, the opportunities should be limited.
Ayton, the former No. 1 overall pick, has posted 11 or fewer rebounds in seven of his last nine starts. In three prior meetings against the Lakers this season, he combined for a grand total of 20, with no more than eight in a single contest.
L.A. was stout against centers the entire season, giving up the third-fewest rebounds per game in basketball (13.2)
