NBA Thursday player props: Bet Smart, Bogdanovic to light it up

Pascal Siakam's 3-point total was the lone blemish on Wednesday's card. Otherwise, we enjoyed a 4-1 night to push our player prop record to 9-4 on the week.

Here's what's on tap for Thursday's four-game slate.

Marcus Smart over 1.5 made threes

Smart's 3-point total lately has fluctuated between 1.5 and 2.5, so we'll make a play at this number.

Only the Jazz have attempted triples more frequently over the last 10 games than the Celtics (46% rate). Boston's 14.5 makes per game across that stretch rank No. 4 in the NBA. One of the biggest contributors in that department has been Smart, who's canned 12 of his last 25 attempts and has smashed this total in four straight.

Bogdan Bogdanovic over 3.5 made threes

The thought process behind this bet is similar.

The Hawks are the league's second-ranked 3-point shooting team over the last 10 games (42.4%). Atlanta's sinking roughly 13 during its hot stretch and with Trae Young out yet again, it opens the door for another player to light it up.

The obvious answer is Bogdanovic.

His 8.7 3-point attempts per game across his last seven is the 10th-most in basketball and he's converted them at a blistering 50.8% rate.

Bogdanovic's shattered this number in seven of his last nine and draws a Bucks defense allowing 3.6 makes per contest to shooting guards, the eighth-worst mark in basketball.

Jaylen Brown under 5.5 rebounds

Brown can fill up the stat sheet in a hurry, but I'm going under his rebound total.

The Lakers only allow 49.8 total boards per game (No. 5) and give up just 6.8 on average to small forwards, far and away the best clip in the league. Brown's been limited to five or fewer in seven of his last 11.

Buddy Hield under 23.5 points + rebounds + assists

Hield had a plethora of ideal matchups over his last eight starts, drawing six defenses in the bottom half of the league in efficiency. Thursday's opponent clocks in at No. 5 in the NBA and is doing some serious damage against opposing shooting guards. The Suns rank No. 1 in assists (4.0), No. 2 in points (21.1), and No. 3 in both rebounds (5.9) and field-goal percentage (41.6%) allowed to the position.

Hield couldn't crack 20 combined points, rebounds, and assists in either of the two previous meetings against Phoenix this year and has gone under this total in three straight against the franchise.
