The Orlando Magic waived point guard Jeff Teague, the team announced Saturday.
It was previously announced Teague wouldn't report to the team after being acquired in a trade with the Boston Celtics. Orlando also received a $17-million trade exception as a result.
The 32-year-old averaged 6.9 points and 2.1 assists in 18.1 minutes per game across 34 appearances for Boston this season.
Teague owns averages of 12.3 points, 5.6 assists, and 1.2 steals in 805 career games. He made his lone All-Star appearance during the 2014-15 campaign when playing for the Atlanta Hawks.
