Naturally, the Milwaukee Bucks are hoping Giannis Antetokounmpo's left knee sprain doesn't keep him sidelined for too long.

"We're hoping it's shorter rather than longer, but we'll see how these first 48-to-72 hours go and we'll know more then," head coach Mike Budenholzer said prior to his team's 140-133 win over the Indiana Pacers on Monday, according to ESPN's Eric Woodyard.

Antetokounmpo's status for the Bucks' game versus the Boston Celtics on Wednesday hasn't been determined yet, Budenholzer added.

Prior to sitting out Monday's tilt, Antetokounmpo had only missed one other game this season - an early-January victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on the second night of back-to-back contests. Back spasms were the reason for that absence.

The two-time reigning MVP is authoring yet another sensational campaign. Through 40 appearances, the 26-year-old is averaging 29 points (fourth in the NBA), 11.7 rebounds (fifth), 6.4 assists (18th), 1.3 blocks, and 1.2 steals per game.

The Bucks are now 28-14 on the season and sit 1.5 games back from the top seed in the Eastern Conference, and three games behind the league-leading Utah Jazz.
