Harden registers historically-efficient triple-double in win over Spurs

James Harden made NBA history Monday night as he helped will the Brooklyn Nets to a 124-113 overtime victory over the San Antonio Spurs.

The Beard recorded a monster triple-double with 30 points, 15 assists, and 14 rebounds without committing a turnover. He became the first player in NBA history to record such a stat line with zero giveaways since individual turnovers started getting tracked in the 1977-78 season.

Harden also joined John Stockton, Chris Paul, and LeBron James as the only players to register at least 30 points and 15 assists with zero turnovers in a game dating back to 1985, courtesy of StatMuse.

The 2018 MVP rounded out his night by shooting 12-of-23 from the field and 3-of-4 from the charity stripe while also collecting a pair of steals.

Harden's impact on the Nets has been profound since arriving in a trade from the Houston Rockets. The club has gone 16-7 with the All-NBA guard on its roster.

Brooklyn's victory snapped a nearly two-decade-long drought when playing in San Antonio. The Nets hadn't won a regular-season game against the Spurs in the Alamo City since Jan. 22, 2002, although they were victorious over the Spurs in Game 2 of the 2003 NBA Finals.

The Nets, who have won nine of their last 10 games, will look to continue their strong play when they face Harden's former team in Houston on March 3.
