Denver Nuggets guard RJ Hampton entered the league's health and safety protocol and is expected to be out until after the All-Star break, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

Additional contact tracing within the Nuggets organization is also taking place, sources told Wojnarowski.

Hampton, 20, has played sparingly through 24 contests this season with averages of 2.5 points and two rebounds in under 10 minutes per game.

The Nuggets are scheduled to visit the Chicago Bulls, Milwaukee Bucks, and Indiana Pacers to close out the first half of their regular-season schedule.
