Celtics' Pritchard to miss at least 2 weeks with knee injury

Boston Celtics guard Payton Pritchard was diagnosed with a Grade 1 MCL sprain in his right knee and is expected to return to on-court activities in roughly two weeks, the team announced Saturday.

The rookie has impressed early after being selected with the 26th overall pick. Pritchard has taken on a larger role with starting point guard Kemba Walker dealing with a knee injury. He's averaging 20.9 minutes per game, 12th-most among first-year players.

With Walker yet to play 30 minutes following his return to action, the Celtics will enter Sunday's contest against the Cleveland Cavaliers thin in the backcourt. Fellow reserve guards Carsen Edwards, Romeo Langford, and Aaron Nesmith are also currently out.
