Free-agent guard Austin Rivers has joined the New York Knicks on a three-year contract worth $10 million, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The final two seasons of the contract are non-guaranteed, according to Ian Begley of SNY TV.

Rivers spent last season with the Houston Rockets after a trade from the Washington Wizards sent him there during the 2018-19 campaign. The 28-year-old appeared in 68 contests last year and averaged 23.4 minutes, 8.8 points, and 1.7 assists while shooting 42.1% from the field.

Doc Rivers, Austin's father and current Philadelphia 76ers head coach, played for the Knicks for three seasons from 1992-95.
