The NBA league office has told teams they can now hold group practices, workouts, and scrimmages at their facilities with up to 10 players, sources tell The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Players must return a negative test before each workout at a team facility, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

Operations at practice facilities ceased in mid-March following the league schedule suspension due to the North American outbreak of COVID-19, which impacted several players and team staff directly.

Facilities started reopening in May with restrictions leading up to the season's resumption. Each team was reportedly required to designate a senior executive as its "facility hygiene officer" to ensure adherence to rules regarding the use of personal protective equipment and the number of athletes and staff on-site at a given time.

Additionally, the league permitted the clubs who did not meet the NBA's threshold of success for playoff seeding in Orlando - the so-called "Delete 8" - to hold optional offseason workouts in their home markets in a bubble-like environment from September to early October.
