The Los Angeles Clippers' Steve Ballmer has claimed the top spot on Forbes' annual list of America's richest sports team owners for the sixth straight year.
The former Microsoft CEO leads all team owners with a net worth of $69 billion - an increase of $17.6 billion from last year. The Clippers, whom Ballmer purchased in 2014 for $2 billion, account for just 4% of his fortune.
Carolina Panthers and Charlotte FC owner David Tepper was second with a net worth of $13 billion, with the Memphis Grizzlies' Robert Pera ($10.5 billion), Los Angeles Kings and LA Galaxy's Philip Anschutz ($10.1 billion), and Dallas Cowboys' Jerry Jones ($8.6 billion) rounding out the top five.
