The NBA and the NBPA have agreed to push back the Oct. 16 draft, the Oct. 18 start of free agency, and the beginning of the 2020-21 season, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

New dates will reportedly be determined later, but the draft is expected to be rescheduled for later in October, according to Charania.

It was first reported last month that the league was considering moving the draft, free agency, and 2020-21 opening night back. Commissioner Adam Silver also said a Dec. 1 start date for the next campaign could be "a little bit early."

Silver has said the league's priority is getting fans back into arenas next season, though the ongoing coronavirus pandemic makes it impossible to predict when that could occur.

The latest possible NBA Finals date for this season is currently listed as Oct. 13.
