Kanter not sweating playoff seed: 'Celtics can beat every team on every floor'

Enes Kanter says the Boston Celtics aren't concerned with their position in the Eastern Conference standings - they're ready for any opponent.

"The Celtics can beat every team on every floor, so we're not worried about who we're going to face or who we're not going to face," the 28-year-old center said Saturday, according to Boston.com. "We're just going to go out there and just show the world because at the beginning of the season, (there) were so many haters out there."

Boston sat third in the Eastern Conference with a 43-21 record - three games behind the reigning champion Toronto Raptors and 2.5 games up on the Miami Heat - when the league suspended play in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Should the Celtics hold their position through the eight-game seeding phase, they'll be on track to face the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round of the playoffs.

The Celtics will scrimmage against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Phoenix Suns, and Houston Rockets in the lead-up to the restart of the 2019-20 season at the NBA bubble in Orlando. The team will play its first official game of the seeding phase on July 31 against the league-leading Milwaukee Bucks.
