Hundreds of NBA players are set to take part in a conference call Friday night to determine how they'll take a stand against the league's plan to restart the season in Orlando, Bleacher Report's Taylor Rooks reports.

Injured Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving has been a "driving force" in organizing the call, which is set to include up to 200 players, according to Bleacher Report's Howard Beck. Irving believes there should be an option to not return given the significant racial tension within the United States at this time, sources told Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes.

Fifty players recently participated in an initial meeting to discuss making a stand against the league, Rooks adds.

An earlier report from Haynes also highlighted how a significant number of players are upset they weren't involved in the National Basketball Players Association's voting process to restart the 2019-20 campaign.

The NBA and NBPA are reportedly working on a provision that would allow players to sit out the remainder of the season if they choose. However, those players won't receive full salaries if they decide to do so.

Multiple high-profile stars disagree with Irving's stance and are doing their part to educate players on the significant financial impact of sitting out games this season and beyond, Yahoo Sports' Vince Goodwill reports. Owners will be able to activate the force majeure provision and reopen the collective bargaining agreement if no more games are played this season.

Numerous players set to partake in the season's resumption at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando are planning to use the platform to promote and support the Black Lives Matter movement, Goodwill adds.
