Trae Young, Chris Paul, and Zach LaVine are expected to participate in the NBA's upcoming televised HORSE competition along with NBA alumni and WNBA players, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

In HORSE, opponents alternate shot attempts; if a player is unable to successfully replicate their opponent's shot, that player gains a letter. The winner is crowned when their opponent spells out "HORSE."

Young appeared to confirm his involvement with the competition, as the Hawks star began laying down ground rules:

The NBA's most recent foray into the classic schoolyard game came during the 2009 and 2010 All-Star Weekends. Those festivities both included official HORSE competitions, with then-Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant capturing both titles. The event was discontinued in 2011.

Of course, logistical factors will impact some players' ability to participate in the potential event. The league has closed team practice facilities to all players and staff, and even Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo recently admitted he doesn't currently have access to a hoop while he waits out the COVID-19 pandemic.
