Different bets bring on different emotions.

Getting a backdoor touchdown in football, for example, can feel a lot different than an empty-net goal that cashes your hockey over. And when it comes to NBA player props, I'm not sure there's a worse feeling than having a points, rebounds, and assists under and watching a player get about 40 minutes on the floor. Do you know how tough it is to watch a game on television and root for someone to stay as far away from the basketball as possible at all times? I'll tell you, it's very tough. And I don't like it.

It is not a coincidence that there aren't any of those bets on the card today. But there is an over featuring a Knicks player who could go off tonight.

Julius Randle over 33.5 points + rebounds + assists

Randle's fingerprints should be all over this game. The Hawks allow the fifth-most fantasy points to power forwards and Randle's recorded at least 34 combined points, rebounds, and assists in five of his last seven outings. With a high total and plenty of opportunity for volume on the stat sheet, Randle's the one player in this matchup I expect will wreak havoc.

Trae Young over 3.5 made threes

This could be a fun bet to watch on a player who's attempted at least eight threes in seven of the last nine games. Now, Young has been a little spotty from beyond the arc lately; he's drained just 9 of his 47 attempts from deep in the last five games. However, a Knicks defense that allows the most 3-point makes per game to point guards could offer the perfect opportunity to get back on track.

Terry Rozier over 2.5 made threes

Rozier's got the hot hand for the Hornets. He turned in a 40-point night on Monday against the Hawks and has at least 20 in three of the previous four outings. I'd play Rozier's 3-point attempts, as he's put up at least seven in each of the last four games, a span that includes a whopping 21 makes. The Heat are no slouches on defense, but they are surrendering the fourth-most makes to shooting guards this season.

Buddy Hield over 16.5 points, 3.5 made threes

I love this matchup for Hield, who faces a Pelicans defense allowing the fourth-most points and third-most 3-point makes to shooting guards. Hield has at least eight attempts from deep in each of the last eight games and has made at least three triples in five straight. This is another total in the mid-230s for a game that should feature a ton of pace and possessions. Give me Hield to light up the scoreboard in Sacramento tonight.

Chris Paul under 6.5 assists

Paul has at least seven assists in three of the last four, but I'm not taking the bait. Utah's been the best in the league at preventing assists by point guards, giving up just 7.17 per game, and Paul has been held to five assists or fewer in four of his last six meetings with the Jazz.
