Knicks' Randle stumps for interim HC Miller: 'He's done a great job'

Count Julius Randle among those in the corner of New York Knicks interim head coach Mike Miller.

The sixth-year power forward heaped praise on Miller, who assumed the role after David Fizdale's dismissal on Dec. 6. And if it were up to Randle, it seems Miller would stay in his new position on a permanent basis.

"I don't make those decisions, but from my personal standpoint, dealing with him on a daily basis has been absolutely amazing while he interacts with us, how he coaches the game - everything," Randle said, according to SNY's Garrett Stepien. "We've responded really well to him and he's done a great job."

The Knicks are 13-20 (.394) since Miller took over - a clear improvement on the team's lifeless 4-18 (.182) start.

Randle has been one of the bigger beneficiaries of the personnel decision; the 25-year-old has enjoyed a statistical uptick in a number of traditional statistical categories:

"He just made some adjustments, so what he feels is best, as far as playing to guys' strengths and stuff like that," Randle added. "It's just the adjustments and all that type of stuff. So he's done a great job."
