The Atlanta Hawks have withdrawn from trade negotiations centered on Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond, sources told Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes.

The framework of a deal had been discussed between the two clubs, and it included the Pistons receiving Damian Jones, either Chandler Parsons or Allen Crabbe, and a first-round pick in exchange for the two-time All-Star.

Atlanta dealt Crabbe to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday in a trade for former Hawks guard Jeff Teague.

Drummond is not expected to exercise his player option for the 2020-21 season, making him an unrestricted free agent this summer. If the Hawks don't make a move for a long-term option at center prior to the Feb. 6 trade deadline, Drummond will reportedly be one of their top targets in the offseason.

The 26-year-old has enjoyed a strong campaign despite Detroit's lackluster 15-27 record. In 33.6 minutes per game, Drummond has averaged 17.3 points, a league-leading 15.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists, two steals, and 1.8 blocks per game.

Meanwhile, the Hawks have flat-lined to a brutal 9-32 record, putting organizational emphasis on youth development rather than the need to acquire win-now pieces.
