The Cleveland Cavaliers are asking for a first-round draft pick in return for Kevin Love, a source told The Athletic's Jason Lloyd.

Meanwhile, teams inquiring about Love are asking the Cavs for a first-round pick to be included in order to offset the 31-year-old's prohibitive contract. Love is owed more than $91 million through 2023.

Love would seemingly be a good fit with the Portland Trail Blazers, who are in need of frontcourt scoring. A report this week suggested he would prefer a move to Portland, which is near his hometown of Lake Oswego, Ore.

The Cavs have lost eight straight and 14 of 15 going into Thursday amid reports first-year head coach John Beilein has lost the locker room.

Love, Tristan Thompson, and Matthew Dellavedova are the only remaining members of the team from the 2016 NBA championship squad. The Cavs have made everyone except rookie Darius Garland available in trade talks, a source told Lloyd.
