Projected NBA lottery pick RJ Hampton will be sidelined for about four weeks of Australian NBL action with a hip flexor injury, a source told ESPN's Jonathan Givony.

Hampton joins fellow American and lottery hopeful LaMelo Ball on the injured list Down Under. Ball is expected to be out until early January with a foot injury.

NBA scouts were expected to be in Australia in the coming weeks to evaluate the pair, according to Givony. The two were scheduled to play each other on Dec. 22, when Ball's Illawarra Hawks host Hampton's New Zealand Breakers.

The NBL's regular season ends in February.
