Thabeet goes on.

Former NBA lottery pick Hasheem Thabeet was selected No. 18 by the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in Saturday's G League draft. The Mad Ants are the affiliate of the Indiana Pacers.

The 7-foot-3 center was the second overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft by the Memphis Grizzlies before fizzling out of the league five years later. Thabeet previously played in the G League - then called the D-League - in 2014-15, and last played professionally in Japan.

Thabeet, 32, was one of the more notable names selected Saturday, but not the only one. Former Georgetown forward Trey Mourning - the son of Hall of Famer Alonzo Mourning - was picked second by the Sioux Falls Skyforce, the Miami Heat's affiliate.

Mourning followed first overall pick Anthony Lawrence Jr., who was waived by the Utah Jazz in training camp.

Former Duke guard Trevon Duval was selected at No. 5 by the Iowa Wolves, and former Texas standout Kerwin Roach II was picked 22nd by the Westchester Knicks.
