Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving will miss Saturday's preseason game against the Los Angeles Lakers after aggravating a facial fracture during the previous contest, the team announced Friday.

Irving played just one minute in Thursday's affair in China before Lakers guard Rajon Rondo delivered inadvertent contact to his face. The six-time All-Star initially suffered the injury during an offseason pickup game and was sporting a protective mask during his Nets debut in China.

The 27-year-old signed a four-year, $136-million contract with the Nets this summer.

Brooklyn forward Caris LeVert also left Thursday's contest after being poked in the eye in the first quarter. He's listed as questionable for the second matchup against the Lakers in China.
