The Houston Rockets' season once again ended in disappointment when the Golden State Warriors eliminated them from the playoffs for the fourth time in five seasons.

A sense of discomfort has plagued the organization since, as frustrations have increased within the squad and front office.

"There's too much damn turmoil," a Rockets source said, according to ESPN's Tim MacMahon. "There's some hard feelings right now everywhere."

Shortly after the Rockets were bounced, general manager Daryl Morey made significant cuts to head coach Mike D'Antoni's staff, including parting ways with defensive ace Jeff Bzdelik and player development coach Irv Roland.

The Rockets have also struggled to come to terms with D'Antoni on an extension. The two-time Coach of the Year expressed his desire to re-sign with the organization but talks have been on-and-off. Regardless, Morey is confident it'll eventually be resolved.

"He's going to be our coach next year. We're hoping to work things out for the future right now; if we don't, we're going to work it out after next season," Morey told SportsTalk 790's Sean Salisbury on Monday. "We love Mike, he's a favorite of our players - all our top players love playing for him. We're going to work it out."

Rumors of Houston's discontent with the current roster construction has become a major talking point, with reports suggesting all players will be made available at the right price - although it's highly unlikely the Rockets would shop James Harden.

Among potential trade options would be Chris Paul, who is still owed more than 124 million through 2021-22 and infamously engaged in a verbal exchange with his co-star Harden after the season-ending Warriors loss. However, when asked about taking calls for the disgruntled point guard, Morey denied interest in moving on.

"No, we want to add one more star to this team," Morey said.

The Rockets currently have four players on the books earning over $14 million per year.
