Aron Baynes reportedly exercised his $5.9-million player option to remain with the Boston Celtics next season, league sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.
In two seasons with the Celtics, the hulking 32-year-old averaged 5.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.1 assists in 17.5 minutes per game.
While Baynes appears content to stick around in Boston, Kyrie Irving has reportedly elected to not exercise his own player option, which will allow him to hit unrestricted free agency this summer.
