Warriors react to Raptors fans cheering Durant's injury
Cheers could be heard from the stands at Scotiabank Arena on Monday night as Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant was helped to the locker room after suffering what was later revealed to be an Achilles injury.
Players from both the Warriors and Toronto Raptors could be seen signaling for fans to stop applauding the injury. That was eventually the case, with the cheers getting drowned out by chants of "KD" as the two-time Finals Most Valuable Player made his way to the back.

Following the Warriors' 106-105 victory, Klay Thompson revealed how upset he was by the crowd's immediate reaction.
"It was bullshit. That was freaking ridiculous. I can't even put into words how mad I was about that," said Thompson, according to The Athletic's Ethan Strauss.
DeMarcus Cousins had one word to describe the cheering fans: "Trash."

Draymond Green didn't mince words either, calling the cheers "classless."

Stephen Curry, who finished with a team-high 31 points, lived in Toronto as a child when his father Dell played for the Raptors. The two-time Most Valuable Player couldn't explain the positive response to Durant going down.
"Very confused around that reaction. It's not my experience with people of this city. I commend Danny Green and Kyle Lowry for signaling to the crowd. I hope that ugliness doesn't show itself again," said Curry, according to The Washington Post's Ben Golliver.
Durant will undergo an MRI on Tuesday. This was his first taste of action since Game 5 against the Houston Rockets in the second round.
