Detroit Pistons forward Blake Griffin underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his left knee, the team announced Wednesday.

Griffin was plagued with knee soreness over the final weeks of the regular season and during Detroit's first-round sweep defeat at the hands of the Milwaukee Bucks.

He's not expected to miss any offseason training or preparation for the 2019-20 campaign.

The six-time All-Star averaged 24.5 points, six rebounds, and six assists while shooting 46.2 percent from deep over the final two games of the series against Milwaukee after sitting the opening contests.

Griffin led the 41-41 Pistons in scoring (24.5 points) and assists (5.4) while converting a career-best 36.2 percent of his 3-pointers in his first full season with Detroit after being traded by the Los Angeles Clippers in January 2018.

He's under contract with the franchise through the 2020-21 season with a player option in 2021-22.
