Westbrook suspended for Heat game due to 16th technical foul

Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook will miss Monday's matchup against the Miami Heat after receiving an automatic one-game ban for his 16th technical foul of the season, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.
Westbrook was assessed the technical with 3:29 left in Saturday's second quarter against the Golden State Warriors for body checking guard Klay Thompson and then complaining about an earlier non-call.

According to ESPN's Bobby Marks, Westbrook's suspension will cost him $245,891 in salary. It will also save the Thunder $522,521 in luxury tax payments.
