Los Angeles Clippers owner Steve Ballmer has made Forbes' billionaires list for 2019, coming in at No. 19 with an estimated net worth of $41.2 billion.

Ballmer retired as CEO of Microsoft after purchasing the Clippers in 2014 but kept the majority of his shares in the company. That contributed to his net worth rising seven percent over the past year, writes Forbes' Kurt Badenhausen.

The 62-year-old ranks as the wealthiest owner of an American sports franchise and the second-wealthiest sports team owner in the world after Mukesh Ambani. Ambani owns the Mumbai Indians cricket team of the Indian Premier League.
