Harden's streak of 30-plus-point games ends at 32
James Harden was held to 28 points during Monday's 119-111 Rockets win over the Atlanta Hawks, ending his streak of 30-plus-point games at 32, the second-longest in NBA history.
Harden missed Saturday's game with a neck issue. The last time he suited up and didn't score 30-plus points was on Dec. 11 against the Portland Trail Blazers.
During his streak - which puts him behind only Wilt Chamberlain's 65-game run in 1961-62 - Harden averaged 41.1 points per game. He scored 50-plus points four times and recorded a career-high 61 points on Jan. 23 against the Knicks. The streak also included a five-game run of 40-plus-point outings.
Poor perimeter shooting on Monday sealed the deal for Harden's streak. He went 0-for-10 from downtown against the Hawks and is now 2-of-20 from deep over his last two games.
